I'm the founder and co-owner of Savannah Spa.
Originally from Hungary, I moved to the UK in 2015 to continue developing my skills in complementary therapies. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of luxury hotels and spas, with a focus on massage and holistic treatments. But I always felt something was missing from the typical spa experience.
Too often, therapists are under pressure to rush through treatments, leaving little time to connect with each client or offer a truly personalised approach. I wanted to create something different.
That vision led to the creation of Savannah Spa — a boutique retreat where small groups can enjoy a calm, unhurried, and deeply individualised experience. Here, we take the time to understand each guest’s needs and craft a spa day that feels truly personal.
I believe in the healing power of nature and the benefits it brings when combined with therapies like massage, reflexology, meditation, and sound baths. Savannah Spa is a place where those elements come together — helping you slow down, restore balance, and reconnect with yourself.

I'm a local girl, born in Winchester. I moved to Braishfield when I married my husband Paul who was born, bred and worked in the village and still does.
I previously worked in education and finance but approaching retirement, I wanted a career change that allowed me to be an active part of the local community and also brought fresh challenges in an area which has always been important to me. I've been so lucky to have the countryside as part of my life and experience the healing, calming power that it brings when everything around is chaos. I hope that you can relax here and experience this too.
I love reading and gardening but when I'm not working you may see me around the village driving my little red Massey Ferguson 135 tractor kept on one of the village farms. Watch out for hand signals and 1970s brakes!

I'm Maria, one of the hostesses here at Savannah Spa. It's our job to welcome you to the Spa, show you around our facilities, provide you with refreshments and make sure that your day runs smoothly, without any of the usual stresses and strains of modern life.
I have lived in and around Braishfield since 2022, when I moved here with my family from Ukraine. It was a very traumatic time for all of us, but we have been so lucky to find ourselves in this beautiful location with such friendly and welcoming people. Being surrounded by nature has been a massive part of the healing process, for all of us. It is so important for mental health to be able to escape and unwind somewhere that is a peaceful oasis where you can heal and re-energise.
As your hostess it will be my pleasure to make sure that nothing interferes with that process during your day.
I am the director of administrative affairs, head of security, and I’m also in charge of lost property.
It's a 24/7 responsibility keeping an eye on absolutely everything that goes on. Even when I appear to be resting (most of the time) I’m still at work, ready to spring into action at a moments notice. I don't normally go in the spa, although I am a (dis)qualified therapy and assistance dog. When I do go in the spa It’s usually in search of “lost property” in particular any shoes, socks, slippers, bags, gowns or towels that do not appear to be attached to an owner.
The fee for reclaiming lost property is one dog biscuit per item.
I am the assistant to the director of administrative affairs (see above) and also a junior trainee booking clerk, so you’ll probably be getting emails and WhatsApp messages from me with booking information.
I’ve lived in the village for over 20 years and I’m married to Nikoletta. Previously I was a consultant cancer surgeon until multiple sclerosis got in the way. I really enjoy a project and working with Nikoletta to create this spa has been a genuine labour of love.
I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
