Blending African themes with global spa influences, the Relaxation Room is a serene indoor retreat.
Bask in the sun under the mature weeping fig, our very own African tree of life, with its roots and history deep in the foundations of the lodge.
Immerse yourself in our solid teak Ofuro Japanese hot tub, whilst enjoying the views of the water garden through the vista windows, beneath the light-dappled walls as the sun reflects in from the pond and dances above you.
Experience the spiritual and health benefits of our Finnish-style sauna, with its aroma of toasted spruce and views over the koi pond and water meadow. Followed by an invigorating rainwater shower.
Enjoy complimentary cold drinks, teas, and coffees at our spa bar, with light meals available by pre-booking, provided by local caterers.
The main indoor area flows naturally into the outdoors, taking you through to our water garden which features a calming koi carp pond and a lakeside pebble beach, complete with loungers, perfect for sunny days.
The North African Olive Grove in the Moorish courtyard is another fragrant corner where you can relax under the olive trees with the scent of mint, lavender and rosemary refreshing and revitalising you.
Overlooking the pebble beach is our Moondeck, with comfortable seating under a weatherproof pergola, outdoor heaters, and adjustable privacy blinds for views or shade. A calming sanctuary for refreshments or evening drinks with jasmine-scented breezes.
The stream bed is usually dry during summer months, but the wooden bridges invite you on to our nature trails around the protected wetland, meadow and woodland habitats.
A cosy, comfortable lounge overlooking the Relaxation Room, decorated with tropical plants chosen for their air-purifying qualities. The Gallery captures the sights and smells of an East African coastal trading town, offering a peaceful spot to rest before or after treatments.
Our Sky Garden and Sundeck evoke images of an East African safari lodge with panoramic views over grassland, watering hole and woods. Deer are frequent visitors and the abundance of birdlife including many summer visitors from Africa such as swallows, swifts, cuckoos and nightingales adds to the ambience.
